The extension of the Condorcet school was an important rehabilitation issue for this school located in the town centre of Meyzieu. Through a project management process in collaboration with the commune's technical services, we designed an extension that blends harmoniously with the existing building. Thus the project assumes the modernity of the intervention, without distorting the existing.

The extension includes an ATSEM room, an extension to the sanitary facilities, as well as a circulation space, which is both a storage area for slippers and a thermal zone. The extension has been designed to limit its impact on the courtyard, a key area for the children.

The southern envelope is composed of a succession of walls: vegetation, openwork cladding, glazing, allowing the existing building to retain a significant amount of light by creating a play of transparency and light.
